I said that I hadn’t realized that so could they reprint them from my email/booking # which I showed him. I didn’t have them and was told that we were given all boarding passes in FM (4 days earlier). I went to the counter for our check in and they asked for my boarding passes. Today we checked in an hour before departure, most others were already on board so the lobby was empty. I’ve been a passenger on this ferry many times and love this as an option vs driving. Otherwise, a good journey with a stunning sunset. How about having to reserve your seat of choice when booking, allowing others to do the same and if you want 6 seats you have to pay for them. This situation needs to be properly monitored by staff on board to stop it happening. Also, seats were 'reserved' with bags whilst the owners spent the time upstairs on deck or elsewhere. Frustratingly, as already mentioned in a previous review, people were taking seats/tables for 6 and only using 2 seats and dumping luggage on the other seats. This time we successfully got seats inside in the aircon. Return journey - arrived 4.30pm (for 6pm departure) and there was already a huge queue waiting to board. Not sure what time we needed to get to the Boat in order to be inside? spent much time standing to try and be in the shade. Boat already very busy and only seats were outside on top deck in the sunshine. Early start and we arrived 40 minutes before departure at 8am. I will not use them again and people should be aware that if you expect a refund, you won't receive it all because of their weaselly 'terms and conditions'.Įfficient ride to the Keys, water was very calm. I asked for a definition of a 'convenience fee' considering how seriously inconvenienced we had been by their inaction but received no response. I wrote back protesting this, pointing out if they had - for instance - a hundred customers they were pocketing a $6 'convenience fee' from, that was a nice little earner for doing absolutely nothing. Key West Ferries refunded a chunk of our claim but withheld a 'convenience fee' of $6.00 per traveller. Anyway, we had to claim a refund and go to the trouble of hiring a car to drive from Key West to Fort Myers. We received this message while lying on a beach in Key West so this was a puzzling prediction (the weather the following day was relatively clear). The day before, we received a call saying the ferry had been cancelled because of expected 'bad weather'. Booked the Key West Express for a journey from Key West to Ft.

That even if the noise is better handled by the JVC.Ī great camera destroyed by a poor cheap lens! A better lens would've been a coupe of dollars more in mass production. Why JVC gave such a poor lens to this beautiful camera? I don't know. But you can't use 1.8 on the JVC while the Zeiss on X70 is first class pretty much at all the apertures. So in the end the X70 is the better camera in low light because 2.8 on a 1" sensor equals 1.8 on the small sensor of the JVC. at 1.8 the JVC looks blurred, because of the lens. The noise is pleasant, salt&pepper but it will be the only hope in a church. That said the problem with the JVC is the lens. I don't even think about going to catalyst also because I firmly believe that there is no 422 50Mbps in the X70- since it looks exactly like the regular avchd As you all know the XAVC-L of the X70 is the only format that doesn't work (still), while others do. So well done to JVC, and I also appreciate that Craig is here, that means a lot guys!Ī direct comparison with the X70 can be done only in 1080 (X70 and jvc 422) Ok I don't think that Sony will fix the XAVC-L nonsense any time soon, so I went for this HM200 instead because I was sick and tired of the incompatibility of that proprietary container that nobody uses (beside edius and catalyst and few others that don't really matter) 4K doesn't give too much RS, more or less like HD The AF can be fine tuned for speed and that's also good to have. The white Balance is a little complicated to set on the fly (but always better and less complicated than the X70 that doesn't even show on the screen while changing it- You change it and Then it shows the colors). I know how that works for the HM600 and that's impressive (interviews with the ability to switch from the interviewer to the talent and vice-versa, all in AF moving with the joystick on the LCD (so with the left hand). I see that's not touch screen, but I also see that sports one of the best face recognition in the market. But most importantly it works in 50Mbps 4:2:2 in HD with no maybes and no buts and no idiotic proprietary containers like the XAVC-L (that still doesn't work with Vegas or FCP -the ones that count!) Plus it works with any editor right now and we don't have to pay for the updates. The ergonomics are much much better than the X70. Do not take the baby out of the pouch or off the teat. a wheat bag or hot water bottle/drink bottle with hot tap water (not boiled kettle water). Large Possums: put a laundry basket/box over the Possum and weigh it down with a brick or something heavy so it can’t escape until a rescuer arrives. (4) Do not be tempted to keep the joey, they are quite different to cats and dogs, require special formula and treatment, and can die very quickly if stressed. Do not hand it around to various people to hold or take photos of, but ring Fauna Rescue and you will be put in touch with a Kangaroo Coordinator who will advise where the closest carer is located or will organise to meet you, and you will need to get the joey to them. (3) Hold the joey close to your body, under your jumper, to keep warm. Do not pull the tail or legs which is very tempting but will do terrible damage to the joey. (2) If the joey is not attached you can put your hands deep into the pouch and make the space smaller until you are able to get hold of the joey around the hips and body and remove carefully. Do not attempt to remove but call Fauna Rescue and an experienced carer will come to help. (1) If a joey is still pink it may be attached to Mums nipple. However there are a few things to check first and to be aware of: If mum has died you can check in the pouch and remove the joey. So it makes it really fun for everyone to watch. Whether they can get to it or not in time is different. I think the thing we've talked about a lot, Alycia, and that I tell people when I tell them about the show, is if you don't know the answer to our question, and then we tell you the answer, and you go, "Oh, well, I've heard of Glad Cling Wrap," or "I've heard of Bounce." On other shows, if you don't know the answer, and then we say, "It's the Lighthouse at Alexandria," you're like, "What?" Every answer we have on our show, everyone's heard of it at some point. KAUBLE: That's one of the things that's really interesting when you go back and watch episodes that are on Netflix now, or whatever it is, those brands are still the brands we're using in our show. You have to have lived on Earth and have a big heart. You don't have to have exceptional trivia talent, or you don't have to have the best memory. The breadth of products that you have in a supermarket now are a little bit different than 20 years ago. When you see the cart totals over the course of the season, they've gone way up, because from 2000 to 2020, prices of things have gone up, and our supermarket has changed a lot. So to reflect what our supermarket looks like in 2020, there are some really crazy big ticket items. You have gigantic slabs of Tomahawk Wagyu ribs that are $300 a pop. But one of the things that we did to modernize our supermarket, and make it feel more 2020, is you've got things in ours like crockpots. I think our turkeys are in between $30 and $50. How often do people ask about what is the most lucrative thing to pull off the shelves? My mother is convinced that it's the turkeys. But I think it meant a little bit more this time around, when you saw someone make smart decisions, know their supermarket products, and thus win a big jackpot. Anyone winning $100,000 in any environment, it doesn't matter if there's a pandemic or not, would be excited. Our top prize on this show, it was $5,000 back in the '90s, but the top prize now is $100,000. I don't want to win money." So we give people that chance to fulfill a wish, to end the day with a heck of a lot more money than they started the day with. You can't really find somebody that would say, "No. Then the second wish is obviously everybody wants to win money. "Forget for 20 minutes about the fact that all of that is happening outside of our walls. I think no matter whether you win on Supermarket Sweep or you just participate, that wish is fulfilled, the reckless abandon, the notion of piling as much as you want into your cart. You can pull anything off any shelf, and stack it into your cart, and it will be yours. Or a grocery store where it doesn't matter how much money you have in your account to spend on groceries. There's an enormous familiarity with the environment of the grocery store.īut what we're not familiar with is the idea of a grocery store with no rules, a grocery store that your mom will let you, with reckless abandon, fly through and push that cart on wheels as fast as you can. One is that a supermarket is a place that we've all been to. ROSSITER: I think there are two wishes that are being fulfilled in the moment. I'm curious about the wish fulfillment aspect of the show - What is it about the idea of just being let loose inside a supermarket that fascinates you? Now, of course, it's significantly bigger. When the original Supermarket Sweep launched, it was in 1965 and the unemployment rate was around four percent. I will say we had long conversations about whether it would be okay to show the cameramen in masks, because like Wes said, we didn't want to make anyone sad, but obviously health is the most important thing, and so we had as few people as possible without a mask on. So the participants are looking like old-school television participants, and the crew behind the scenes reminds you that it was shot during a certain time in our history. So those camera people are running in the moment after their contestants. ALYCIA ROSSITER: When you watch it Sunday, you'll see that cameramen often make it into a shot in Supermarket Sweep, both back in the day and now, because it's live action, and no one knows whether that contestant's going to turn into the turkey aisle, or turn into the frying pan housewares aisle. Amtrak offers reliable, affordable transportation between cities in United States. Recently, the importance of determining the presence of PAE in food, beverages, and in their packaging has become increasingly evident. In a recent cross-sectional study, a number of PAEs metabolites have been evaluated in pregnant women’s hair in Crete, namely monoethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP, 68%) and monoisobutyl phthalate (MiBP, 40%) that were likely associated with the use of cosmetics and plastics. In addition to incidental intake of environmental contaminants present in the soil, water, and air, mouthing of phthalate-containing products, other sources of exposure are the dermal route, through skin absorptions from cosmetic and clothing, and intravenous injection. Therefore, in recent years, the diet through PAEs-contaminated food intake and drinking water has been considered the major route of human exposure, accounting for more than 67%. In addition to their release into the environment during the productive up to the elimination route of plastic-based products, these compounds can easily migrate into food and beverage from various food contact materials during processing, storing, transportation, and preparation. PAEs can enter food via several routes, i.e., oral, nasal, and transdermal. Moreover, due to their environmental persistence and, therefore, bioaccumulation along the food chain, they are considered highly risk pollutants for their negative impact on the environment and living organisms. There is a mounting concern about the ability of PAEs to disrupt hormones and negatively regulate reproductive apparatus. The structure of the most commonly used PAEs is shown in Table 1. PAEs are of great economic and commercial interest thanks to their diverse applications in plastic-based consumer products, such as building materials (flooring and wall coverings, and electric cables), baby toys, clothing, printing inks, packaging materials, pesticides, personal care and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, as well as medical devices. They are usually added to plastic materials, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl acetate (PVA), and polyethylene (PE), at the percentage of 10% up to 60% of PAEs by weight, in order to improve extensibility, elasticity, and workability of the polymers. Phthalates (PAEs) are esters of phthalic acid widely spread in many industrial applications, being the main plasticizers used in the polymer industry since the 1930s. The continuous exposure to different types of chemicals present in the environment and to which humans are exposed during their daily activities may adversely affect human health, and thus represents a global issue. In this review we provide an overview of phthalate toxicity, pointing out the health and legal issues related to their occurrence in several types of food and beverage. However, due to their different physical and chemical properties, phthalates do not have the same human and environmental impacts and their association to several human diseases is still under debate. Moreover, many authors reported high concentrations of phthalates in soft drinks, mineral waters, wine, oil, ready-to-eat meals, and other products, as a possible consequence of their accumulation along the food production chain and their accidental release from packaging materials. In the last decades, phthalates and their metabolites have proven to be of concern, particularly in products for pregnant women or children. People and animals can be exposed through different routes (i.e., ingestion, inhalation, dermal, or iatrogenic exposure), as these compounds can be easily released from plastics to water, food, soil, air, making them ubiquitous environmental contaminants. Phthalates are a huge class of chemicals with a wide spectrum of industrial uses, from the manufacture of plastics to food contact applications, children’s toys, and medical devices. |
